Delicious Brown Sugar Chops

🛒 Ingredients

For the chops:

  • 4 pork chops (or beef chops)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the brown sugar glaze:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Season the chops

  • Pat chops dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Sear the meat

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add chops and sear for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove and set aside.

3. Make the glaze

  • In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.
  • Add butter and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, mustard, paprika, and pepper.
  • Cook until it becomes a thick, bubbling sauce.

4. Combine and cook

  • Return chops to the pan.
  • Spoon the glaze over them continuously.
  • Cook for another 5–7 minutes until fully cooked and coated.

5. Rest and serve

  • Let the chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
